Valentyn Smolianinov

Ukrainian pianist Assistant Professor Valentyn Smolianinov began his piano instruction at the age of 5 attending the elite Kharkiv Special Music School for Young Talents under the tutelage of Natalya Balycheva. 13 years later he graduated with honors and was accepted into the prestigious Kharkiv National University of Arts in the Autumn of 2006 to begin his studies as a piano performance major. It was during this time while instructing children that Smolianinov decided to simultaneously pursue education and extend his performance studies by attending the PhS program for both performance and education, which he completed in 2014.
