This forum focuses on the rich tradition of poetry written in English within the territories of the present-day United Kingdom and Ireland, from the fourteenth-century—the heyday of Langland, Chaucer, and the Pearl poet–to the present.

Are you looking for recommendations as to where to start your study of the poetry of the British Isles? Are there any texts or authors you’d like to share (or discuss) with others? Is there a poem you’d particularly like to see Ming Aretê build a mini-course around? If so, this is the place for you.
